What Pirots is and why Kiwis love it
Pirots is an ELK Studios pokie series about four parrots. The first game came out in March 2023 and five more have followed. There are no reels and no paylines. The birds walk the grid, collect gems of their own colour, and every gem pays on the spot.

CollectR in 5 steps
- Birds on the grid. Four parrots: red, purple, green and blue. Each has its own colour.
- Collecting. A bird takes matching gems next to it, up, down, left or right, one step at a time.
- Features. Bombs, coins, wilds and upgrades can be picked up by any bird.
- Levels. Upgrades raise the gem values. Pirots has 5 levels, every later CollectR game has 7.
- Refill. Empty spots fill with new symbols and the round goes on while any bird can move.
A meter above the grid fills with every symbol collected, and a full meter brings new features. In the bonus, grid size, meter and levels all carry over. That’s the main reason a Pirots bonus can run so far.
